Transparency is foundational to everything we publish. This page explains how we create content, where our data comes from, and how we handle corrections.

Specification Sourcing

All vehicle specifications (horsepower, torque, fuel economy, dimensions, pricing, safety ratings, towing capacities, etc.) are sourced from verified databases — primarily manufacturer data, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the EPA. These specifications are stored in our vehicle database before any article is written.

Our content generation system is architecturally designed so that specifications are injected from the database — they are never generated, estimated, or inferred by AI.

AI-Assisted Content

Savvy Autos uses AI technology to assist in creating review prose, comparisons, and buying guides. AI helps us write about more vehicles more thoroughly than a traditional editorial team could cover. However:

  • AI never generates vehicle specifications or numerical data
  • Every article passes automated quality checks before publication
  • Articles are reviewed for accuracy, tone, and helpfulness
  • AI-generated images are always labeled with an “Illustrative” badge

Accuracy Commitment

We run automated spec validation on every article before publication. This system cross-references every number mentioned in the article against our verified database. If a discrepancy is found, the article is flagged for review and not published until corrected.

Corrections Policy

If you find an error in any of our content, please email [email protected]. We take accuracy seriously and will investigate and correct any verified errors promptly. Corrections are noted at the top of affected articles.

Independence

Savvy Autos does not accept payment from manufacturers for favorable reviews. Our “Find a Dealer” feature connects buyers with local dealerships, with SavvyDealer partner dealers highlighted — but this does not influence our vehicle reviews or recommendations.
